Luck by Chance or Lucky by birth!!!
How else can I start my blog other than starting from things happening in my real life? Everybody likes to go back in memory and dig out something and put them in words… so do I and here it goes…
These are the few situations and instances which came across in my life and which keep ringing in my thoughts every time something really good happens in my so called ‘Blessed life’. The basic question is ‘what did I do to be so blessed?’ So far, for the past 25 yrs, be it my childhood days or teenage or the adulthood…everything was pre-written so well that whatever good happened, it was on its own and I was sole-fully responsible for what ever made me feel bad. Thinking of those things today, it keeps teaching me only one thing again and again- In life, everything is Pre-written and nothing can be re-written.
I wonder, is it so easy to put the blame on bad luck for the losses one has and same way is it so simple to put the pride on blessings for the good things. This thought jus never gets out of mind…Taking few things that I notice every-day, being a regular user of public transport, I come across so many people struggling so much in life. From the servant maid who sweeps every morning to few of my co-passengers like the vegetable vendor, a few homeless people, the daily wage laborer, a lady selling flowers, Ofcourse everyone has something or the other to worry about. But the point is who worries for what and how much. Knowingly or unknowingly my mind starts comparing each other’s life and sometimes even mine if they happen to be of same age group… what have I got that they don’t have and what all they have got that I don’t have.. the query seems to be so stupid and simple. Is the difference just the way of life they chose to live, the one different from my life or is it by Luck I have got what they don’t have and they have got what I don’t hold? On the other hand I also come across people who just like to have everything best in their lives and leave certain things in the back seat to get whatever they desire. And these are just the opposite of whomever I mentioned above…a Successful businessman, few software geniuses, a lot of happy-go-luckiest and few other who had luxury to choose their own path to fulfill their dreams and be successful too.. One does not have much to compare themselves with this category of living, since that always ends up in the form of jealousy or hatred (That’s my Personal Opinion on human mind) The major difference in these two categories is that, the later many times get whatever they want, but the former most of the time don’t even get what they need..
This strongly makes me feel that there is just a small very thin line of difference in being Blessed and being Lucky. The Blessed one gets what he/she needs and leads a contented life, and the one who fetch whatever he/she wants leads a Lucky life… It can also be put this way, the Blessed ones happen to consider life, Luck by chance and the lucky ones continue to remain Lucky by birth…..

"The Blessed one gets what he/she needs and leads a contented life," - a beautiful line this:) I liked the post. Yes, we all keep asking questions I think regarding those above us, below us and with us; yes we question ourselves too.
ReplyDeleteBut for the honest seeker the answer WILL come - someday. But do not tire seeking for life is nothing without that. And be sincere to yourself as your strain of thought seems to show - eventually that's all that counts!
Hmmm... thats very thought provoking da... but I dont think anyone is entirely blessed or lucky.. by birth or chance...
ReplyDeleteIrrespective of whether you attain luck by birth or chance, it runs out at some point of time or the other!
Some people are blessed, yes... but that doesnt mean that they are going to have a contented life.. they will have their share of problems... and they will have to face them!
So well... yeah... blessed or lucky, life is still a journey of ups and downs.. and everyone is pretty much on the same boat... (Just my perspective :)
Hey thats a good perspective..
